History
Allen and Heath were built-in 1969. It started as a tiny company with one small factory in London. The company planned to build mixing boards for everyone.
In the early ’70s, Neil Hauser and Steve Battiste came on board to work for the company. And with their arrival, the company took off with different and innovative inventions. These two brilliant minds first came with their innovation called “The Mini Mixer.” And they were very well received for being cheap options of that category.
After the success of “The Mini Mixer,” the company took the job more seriously. They move their old Brunel factory situated in Liverpool. During this time, the company started to take off high. And they also hired some significant people like Andy Bereza, Ivor Taylor, and Andrew Stirling during this time, a considerable impact on the audio industry.
Best Vegas Recording Studio
In later years they released a couple of other successful mixers like MiniMixer and MiniMixer MK2. This series was very much groundbreaking at that time because it had six channels and two outputs. And these designs were the first of their kind.
In those previous years, the most famous mixing board was Mod 1—linked with the famous band Pink Floyd.
The band heavily used this version in their live concerts. The console was even in their movie “Live in Pompeii.” They also released a custom quadraphonic mixer only for Pink Floyd. This Mod 1 console is also associated with another famous band called “The Who.”
In the 80’s they were hugely successful. Then shifted the main office to Penryn in Cornwall. They also opened another office in Brighton and took over another company MBI.
In the ’90s and early 2000s, the company was about to become a software company. It was then only to find new and revolutionary ideas to get back in the market because the software was taking over the industry and quickly got back to the market with their famous G1 series.
In modern times the company is thriving in the industry. They are on the road to releasing new products in the Dj communities.
